Ideally located close to all the local visitor attractions, these three, attached, pet friendly cottages are perfect for couples or a small family, located on the side of a small caravan site. Rose Cottage (ref UK3283) and Stable Cottage (ref UK3285) are a generous size for up to two guests, and even has a cosy wood burner, perfect for cosying up in front of during the winter months. While Dove Cottage (ref UK3284) to the rear has a fully enclosed rear sitting-out area and is perfect for up to four guests. The Morwick Dairy Ice Cream Parlour, is only 1¾ miles away and is great for all ages. These three single-storey, stone cottages are furnished to a good standard.
Located only 4 miles from the A1, so ideal for visiting all the county, the Northumberland Heritage Coast has miles of golden sands and is peppered with castles.
Druridge Bay Country park is only 3 miles away and Alnwick Castle is only 10½ miles away and famed for its appearance in Harry Potter. The magnificent, and not to be missed, historic Holy Island is only 34 miles away and visitors to Northumberland should not leave without visiting this truly historic site, magical at low tide. Nearby Warkworth and Amble are perfect for a day trip, and Amble has a working harbour, plenty of cafés, shops and restaurants, whilst Warkworth, only 3 miles, has a 12th century castle and a picture postcard high street with great pubs and cafés.
Travel south and you come to Tynemouth with sandy beaches, up market bistros and a priory. The historic city of Newcastle upon Tyne is only 27 miles away. Kielder Water, set in the International Dark Sky Park, is only 48 miles and Hadrian’s Wall to the west makes a great day trip. Northumberland is such a diverse county with beautiful unspoilt beaches and fabulous hills and valleys, Railway Cottages make great bases for a stay in Northumberland. Beach 4 miles. Shop 3 miles, pub 1 mile, restaurant 3½ miles.
