Stable Cottage is nestled in the picturesque Northumberland National Park, surrounded by amazing countryside, ideal for outdoor pursuits.

Set in the heart of Northumberland and only a few miles from the Scottish Borders, these two bijoux style holiday cottages offer a cosy and welcoming base for exploring this beautiful and unspoilt area. Ideal for star gazing on a clear evening as the area has been awarded a Gold Tier international award for the largest Dark Sky Park in Europe. Fir Tree Cottage and Stable Cottage are semi detached on the edge of the Kielder Forest, set separately from the other holiday homes on site. The private site has stunning walks from the door and welcomes you and your pets, making this an ideal location for couples wishing to make the most of the outdoor activities.

An amazing drive through the forest will take you to Kielder Water (a 4 wheel drive vehicle needed, closed during the winter season), or a slightly longer route will take you on a scenic route around the entire reservoir. A perfect base to explore the Northumberland National Park and Kielder Forest and observatory, ideal for exploring the whole of this friendly and unspoilt county. Otterburn is 9 miles with a beautiful Pub Le Petite Château, a mill shop and general dealers.

Bellingham and Jedburgh are of around equal distance and offer amenities to suit everyone. A day trip to Alnwick with its famous castle and the Northumberland Heritage Coast, peppered with castles and beaches, makes a fine day out. Hadrians Wall is is steeped in history with Roman forts and museums along the way. A great location for those looking to explore this friendly and unspoilt county.
