This detached, bespoke holiday home, set in the small peaceful rural hamlet of The Lee, with lovely views over the Northumbrian countryside, is ideal for couples wanting to get away from it all. Lee View is within easy reach of the A697, and has walks from the doorstep. There are two pubs in Longframlington that serve delicious food, only 3½ miles away. Rothbury, 4 miles away, hosts the main facilities with a choice of pubs, cafés and independent shops, as well as the National Trust Cragside House which is well worth a visit.
The small village of Longhorsley with its village shop and pub is 2 miles away, and the pretty town of Morpeth with its selection of pubs, shops, swimming pool and riverside rowing boats is 9 miles away. Alnwick Castle, which featured in Harry Potter, provides a great day out for all ages and is a delight with children.
Druridge Bay is only 14 miles away, and Otterburn 22 miles. You can leave your car behind and catch a train from Morpeth to Newcastle or Edinburgh for an enjoyable day out. If you want miles of unspoilt beaches, peppered with castles, then The Heritage Coast can easily be reached from here too. Beach 17 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 3½ miles.
What do you need - bungalow or seaside beach house? North East England is UK at its best. There are many dog friendly holidays in The Farne Islands and Holy Island of Lindisfarne, Alnwick Castle and Gardens or Northumberland - some have hot tubs.
