Hayrake is in an ideal location, on the fringes of Ambleside.
Hayrake has gas central heating and comprises:
Sitting room: Cosy, with open fire (fuel not provided) and TV.
Dining/sun room: With good fell views and a good selection of games and books.
Kitchen: With electric oven and gas hob, washer/dryer, fridge, freezer and microwave.
Narrow stairs from the ground floor to:
Bathroom: With shower over bath, hand basin and WC.
Bedroom 1: Single bedroom.
Bedroom 2: Double bedroom.
A narrow staircase from the first floor to:
Bedroom 3: Single bedroom.
Bedroom 4: Double bedroom.
Separate toilet. . All gas, electric, bed linen and towels included. Sorry, no room for a cot.
There is some limited headroom in the bedrooms on the second floor. Outside there is a patio style garden with furniture supplied. Off road parking for up to two cars is available. One well behaved pet welcome. Smoking permitted. Visit England 3 Star.
With glorious views of the Coniston Hills and local fell ranges, Hayrake is in an ideal location, on the fringes of the village with all amenities close to hand. Built of Lakeland stone, the cottage is very characterful, with cosy rooms, exposed beams and that all important open fire, Hayrake is also home to other features that you’d expect from such an old property, including the odd squeaky floorboard and uneven floor! Emphasis is more on creating a homely atmosphere than frills and fanciness, however Hayrake is very comfortable and offers everything for the holidaymaker. On three floors, the views get better the higher you go so you may have to toss a coin to decide who will have the top room.
