Within a few miles of Brampton and Constable Cottage you can walk stretches of the wall. Talkin Tarn Country Park, just a few miles outside of town, is beautiful with its 65-acre lake set amidst 120 acres of woodland, the ideal place to enjoya walk or even try your hand at some boating on the lake.

The beautiful border city of Carlisle is a 20-minute drive away where you can visit the castle or just take in some retail therapy at some of the high street shops. Or why not take a drive over the border to the beautiful beaches of Dumfries and Galloway and the pretty village of Gretna Green?
