Trees border one side of the plot, while open fields to the rear create a lovely rural outlook. Inside, the bright open-plan living and dining area provides plenty of comfortable seating, a TV and a gas fire, with a well-equipped kitchen alongside for preparing everything from breakfast to evening meals. The accommodation sleeps six across one double bedroom and two twin bedrooms, complemented by a shower room and an additional separate WC. Outside, the furnished decking is a pleasant spot for morning coffee or drinks in the evening, and there is parking for two cars directly at the front.
The caravan makesan excellent base for discovering Cockermouth, the western Lake District and the Cumbrian coast.
Spend time exploring Cockermouth’s attractive streets, independent shops, cafés and traditional pubs, or learn about the town’s connections with William Wordsworth at Wordsworth House and Garden.
Some of the Lake District’s most beautiful scenery is within easy reach. Head towards Loweswater, Crummock Water and Buttermere for lakeside strolls, woodland paths, waterfalls and more challenging fell walks, all surrounded by dramatic mountain views. Ennerdale Water offers another wonderfully peaceful day out, with forest tracks and quiet walking routes through one of the national park’s most unspoilt valleys.
Families can enjoy forest trails, cycling and outdoor adventures at Whinlatter Forest, while nearby Keswick offers shops, restaurants, museums and boat trips on Derwentwater.
The market town is also a popular starting point for walks around Borrowdale and the northern fells. Historic houses and family attractions provide plenty of options when you prefer a gentler day out.
For a change of landscape, travel west to the Cumbrian coast. Enjoy a seaside walk, explore the harbour towns of Maryport and Whitehaven, or visit the sweeping beach at St Bees, where cliffs and coastal paths provide far-reaching sea views. After days spent exploring lakes, fells and coastline, return to the caravan’s quiet setting, settle onto the decking and enjoy the peaceful outlook across the surrounding countryside
