The ground floor of Tarn Rigg Cottage is all open plan, which offers the perfect social space. It features a contemporary kitchen, dining room and living room with a cosy wood burner, which is great to curl up in front of and relax.
Upstairs you’ll find a comfortable twin bedroom with ample storage, perfect for adults and children. A family bathroom with shower over the bath, and a master bedroom with kingsize bed, TV and a en-suite bathroom with shower cubicle complete the picture.
Ormathwaite Farm Cottages offer a great location, whether you’re looking for action-packed adventure or just a relaxing and peaceful break, and there is plenty to do in the area. If you like outdoor adventure including walking, cycling and climbing, you are surrounded by some amazing scenery and routes around Skiddaw, Blencathra, Catbells and Latrigg, all within a few miles. Derwentwater, offering sailing and other water sports is just 2 miles away. The bustling town of Keswick is just 1 mile away, which is an easy walk, or a short 5-minute taxi ride if you want to leave the car behind and head out for a meal and a few drinks. Keswick is vibrant and has a great outdoor market; its bustling centre has an abundance of quality restaurants, pubs serving local cask ales, independent shops, with both outdoor and fashion brands.
Plenty of delis, bakeries, coffee shops and local craft stalls are also to be found. If you like culture, check out the Theatre By The Lake, 2 miles, with arts and drama on the banks of Derwentwater, where you can hire a rowing boat or even take a dip. For family fun, why not try Puzzling Place, 1½ miles, which is a mind boggling attraction based on optical illusions, or the Derwent Pencil Museum, 1½ miles, home to the largest pencil in the world.
