Howgills Barn is the perfect holiday property for those looking to enjoy a little piece of luxury and tranquility in the midst of the Lune Valley. This detached cottage, adjacent to the owner’s home, provides stunning accommodation for a family, friends or couples. The open plan living space has comfortable leather sofas, a large TV, built-in iPod dock, Blu-ray player and a fabulous wood burner keeping the cottage nice and cosy on those winter evenings. The kitchen area is modern and full-equipped with everything you need to rustle up a scrumptious meal. There are two super kingsize bedrooms, both with walk-in wardrobes, luxury furnishings and a TV.
The master bedroom boasts and en-suite bathroom with a beautiful roll-top bath, huge walk-in shower and fluffy white robes. The second bathroom offers the same luxuries.
The picturesque village of Barbon is just 2 miles away and is famous for its local village shop and cafe, which offers an array of local produce and is often a great stop-off for local walkers and cyclists. Barbon borders the quaint town of Kirkby Lonsdale which has an abundance of traditional pubs, fine dining restaurants, charming tea rooms and boutique shops. A visit to the ’Ruskins View’ followed by a delightful river walk to Devils Bridge is a lovely bonus to the town’s attractions.
This is a wonderful base for those wanting to explore the Yorkshire Dales, Lake District and the old market town of Kirkby Lonsdale - you really are spoilt for choice of places to visit in this area. So whether you are planning to walk the Three Peaks, take a boat ride around Lake Windermere or even just meander around the shops in Kirkby Lonsdale, returning back to this luxury property after a long day of exploring is certainly needed, and Howgills Barn can definitely offer you this.
