Exposed wooden floors run throughout the first floor, where all rooms enjoy lovely views over looking rolling fields and open countryside of this working beef and sheep farm. Outside,there is a large enclosed garden with sitting-out area and garden furniture, ideal for dining al fresco, morning coffees and overall relaxing and enjoying the fresh air.

It is also home to a Heritage railway station, where you can enjoy a lovely scenic trip on the historic Carlisle - Settle line. The market town of Kendal, 20 miles, is known as the ’gateway to the southern Lake District’, and perfect to have a day on one of the famous Windermere cruises. Walkers can tackle the quieter Howgill Fells, a day on these tops can be considerably less busy but equally just as spectacular for views.
