Nestled in the hillside, this magnificent building has the most amazing panoramic views of Skiddaw and the surrounding fells, from its elevated location on the edge of Thornthwaite village. Ladstock Hall was a very grand country house hotel, a renowned venue for weddings, it has now been converted into several apartments and cottages furnished to a beautiful standard.

Thornthwaite lies 3 miles to the west of Keswick at the foot of Whinlatter and close to Bassenthwaite Lake.
This area is great for mountain biking in Whinlatter Forest, and walking on the surrounding fells and sailing or fishing on the lake.
There is a bridle way immediately behind Ladstock Hall where you can walk to Braithwaite, a little over half a mile, which has a village shop, restaurant and 2 pubs each serving good food and real ale.
The high ceilings in number 7 make for a lovely spacious living area, the comfy italian leather sofas and column radiators give it a special feel and the dining table overlooks the Skiddaw range. Pub 1½ miles, shop and restaurant 4 miles.
