Surrounded by open land and overlooking a trout lake, Tom’s cottage also enjoys views towards Scafell Pike and Old Man of Coniston. The South Lakes Wild Animal Park is close by, as well as the beach and sandhills of Sandscale Haws (NT). Coniston Water and Windermere are within 14 miles. The Aquarium of the Lakes and the Haverthwaite Steam Railway are also nearby, and the lovely Duddon Valley makes an excellent day out, as does Muncaster Castle and Gardens.
