This wonderful, detached family home offers a light and modern base from which to explore this popular seaside town. Inside, the open plan space has been carefully designed and tastefully furnished in relaxing pastel blue and neutral tones. Bi-fold doors lead onto the enclosed garden which has a patio, sitting-out area, rattan furniture and barbecue. This is the ideal spot where you can enjoy an aperitif and al fresco dining on a balmy evening after a day at the beach or sightseeing! There are four spacious bedrooms, two on the ground floor (one en-suite) and two on the first floor, along with a further family bathroom. There is a selection of books, family board games and other personal touches for guests’ enjoyment.

Quay House is ideally located along a residential road, a leisurely 10-minute walk from Mudeford Quay and slightly further to Avon Beach, which has a renowned fish restaurant. It is also a short walk from a highly acclaimed hotel (with award-winning restaurant, and spa), and the and the adjacent restaurant which has wonderful views across Christchurch Harbour.



The village of Mudeford, with its quaint charm, attracts many visitors each year and it has a nostalgic air of bygone times. Mudeford Quay, which is a former fishing village and now a suburb of the borough of Christchurch, sits at the entrance to Christchurch Harbour and offers spectacular views out to sea and across to the Isle of Wight. A range of local shops, pubs and restaurants are all set in a pretty harbour area. Avon and Friars Cliffe beaches are less than a mile away, offering golden stretches of sand lined with traditional-style beach huts, and is an ideal place for cycling, exploring the beaches and dog walking too, with delightful, scenic views. There is a local ferry from Mudeford Quay across to Hengistbury Head, which is a fascinating place thanks to its wide variety of wildlife habitats, archaeology and geology. It also has long sandy beaches, which are great to explore all year round.

The New Forest National Park is just a 15-minute drive and is a must for anyone visiting this area.

It is renowned for its beautiful scenic walks and wild ponies roaming freely. Bournemouth, with great shops and beaches, is just along the coast, as is Poole with its large natural harbour. Christchurch, with its priory and selection of eateries and shops, is also nearby. Further afield to the west is the world famous UNESCO World Heritage Jurassic Coastline, with Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door. Explore the Channel Islands of Guernsey and Jersey by ferry from Poole Harbour, or the Isle of Wight from Lymington. Just a few places to visit include the medieval city of Salisbury and its cathedral, maritime Southampton, Stonehenge, Marwell Zoo, Monkey World, Bovington Tank Museum, Exbury Gardens, Peppa Pig World, Winchester Cathedral and Beaulieu Museum.
