Welcome to Puffling, a spacious two-bedroom, ground floor apartment sleeping three guests. Located in Falmouth, it has private parking at the rear of the property for one car and is great for a couple and an older child baby (or two friends). The main bedroom has its own en-suite, which has a walk-in shower, and the main bathroom has a bath with shower over. People with mobility issues can be dropped off by the front door; it is a very short flat walk along the communal corridor to the apartment and everything is on one level, including access to the balcony. The property is well equipped with everything that you would need to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
The views from the living room and balcony over the marina and Penryn river are stunning. Puffling is ideally situated for easy access to the town, which is just over 1 mile away.
It is a pleasant walk along the harbourside, so leave the car behind and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Falmouth is home to the National Maritime Museum; it combines maritime heritage with a vibrant arts scene. There are lots of restaurants, cafés and bars to explore, as well as lovely independent shops. Enjoy a coffee in market square and just people-watch, or look at the huge ships that have come into the harbour. If you like walking, explore Pendennis Castle (a remnant of Henry VIII’s reign), wander around the moat, have a look inside at the fascinating artifacts and then follow the circular walk, passing Gyllynvase and Swanpool beach before circling back thought the town.
At the harbour you can catch the passenger ferry to St Mawes, which is well worth a day outand is situated on the Roseland Peninsula.
You can also catch the King Harry Ferry and take your car across to this small fishing village, which lies an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Wander around St Mawes Castle, spend time on Summer Beach or just meander through the village stopping for refreshment. Regular buses run from St Mawes to other hamlets in the Roseland so a great way to explore the area and its gardens. With the mild climate in this area, the plants are sub-tropical and a great example of these is at Lamorran Gardens in St Mawes, Trelissick Gardens at Feock near Truro and Glendurgan in Mawnan Smith near Falmouth. Whatever you choose to do, you will want to come back and sit on the balcony watching the view and looking at the spectacular night skies with a drink, planning your next adventure. Beach 2 miles
