Grade II listed riverside home in Gweek overlooking a boatyard, with four bedrooms and a courtyard hot tub, plus a slipway for launching a canoe or small boat on the Helford.

No smoking. This property has a £150 security deposit.

Overlooking a historic boatyard on the Helford River, this Grade II listed Georgian home offers a wonderfully atmospheric base in the village of Gweek. Recently renovated with a calm, tasteful finish, it balances period character with the comfort you want on holiday, from elegant furnishings to original features and ornate fireplaces. If you love being close to the water, it is a special place to stay, with the working river scene right outside and the Lizard Peninsula waiting to be explored.
The house is arranged over two floors and is designed for easy group stays. On the ground floor you will find an entrance hall leading through to a generous dining area with a large table for shared meals.

The sitting room is an inviting space to unwind, with comfortable seating, a Smart TV, WiFi and lovely views across the boatyard. A well-equipped kitchen makes self-catering straightforward and includes a smaller breakfast table for early risers. From the living space, doors open to a private courtyard where the hot tub provides a relaxing end to the day. Upstairs there are four bedrooms, including two super-king rooms with en-suite shower rooms, a king-size bedroom and a large single, along with a family bathroom.

Outside, there is ample off-road parking on the driveway and village amenities are close by, including a pub and a shop. Scenic walks start nearby, and the area is a great base for exploring the wider Cornish coast. Guests can also bring a boat, canoe or paddleboard, with access to a slipway for launching on the river. Do bear in mind the tide, as launching is typically possible within a couple of hours either side of high tide, and it is suitable for boats up to around 24ft, with mooring options available through the yard office. Settle in and enjoy Cornwall from the water’s edge
