This complex contains traditional Cornish stone cottages and a unique wooden lodge, approached by a long, tree-lined, private drive. Trecan Farm Cottages (refs UKC4241, UKC4242, UKC4243, UKC4244, UK11270 and UK11271) provide a perfect setting for a relaxing holiday and are situated in an ideal location from which to explore the local beaches and attractions. Each of the beautifully properties have stunning views across the rolling countryside, where you can often spot deer roaming or see buzzards and geese flying. There are some excellent facilities on site including a tennis court, indoor games room, play area and daily feeding of the goats, chickens, sheep, ducks, pigs and rabbits.
Porfell Animal Land is just a short stroll from the cottages and makes a great day out for the whole family.
Cornwall has many beautiful beaches, one of the favourites being Talland Bay, 5 miles, with its beautiful coastal path and rock pools. Looe has a lovely sandy beach and sand castle building is a must! There are egg hunts at Easter, raft races in summer and fishing trips all year. A trip to see Looe Island and the marine conservation by ferry boat makes a great day out.
The North Cornwall Coast beaches of Rock, Polzeath, Newquay and Padstow are only a short drive away, and St Ives, Penzance and Lands End are an easy day trip. Lanhydrock cycle hub is close by and is perfect for cyclists of all abilities, as well as the Camel Trail from Bodmin to Wadebridge and Padstow. Fowey is a stunning historic little fishing village with tales of smugglers, beautiful shops, restaurants, quaint cafés and a lovely little beach.
It is a firm favourite for locals and visitors alike, even home to some local celebrities. Go deep sea fishing or kayak along the river to the village of Lerryn, the setting for ’The Wind in the Willows’. The highly acclaimed Eden Project is a must, it has everything for a great day out and is very educational. Polmartin riding stables are just a short walk away and offer short or long rides, hacking and stable care for both experienced and inexperienced riders. Beach 5 miles. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 2½ miles.
