Bedroom 3: With single bed, pull-out single bed and 18" Freeview Smart TV.
Bathroom: With bath, shower attachment, shower cubicle, toilet and heated towel rail.
Underfloor heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot, highchair and stairgate available on request. Welcome pack. Enclosed front patio with garden furniture and barbecue. 2 dogs welcome, to be kept on a lead at all times (sheep country). Private parking for 6 cars. No smoking.
South Barn is a luxurious, detached barn conversion with three immaculate bedrooms, accommodating up to six guests in total. No attention to detail has been forgotten, it is a truly idyllic holiday home retreat. Walk in through the front door, straight into the hallway which leads to two homely, light and spacious living rooms, which are attractively furnished with plenty of space for families or a group of friends. Each living room has a Smart TV and a large sofa, perfect to relax in after a busy day of exploring this part of Devon. Next door is the open plan kitchen/dining room which has a large oak dining table and sky lights above, the perfect sociable breakfast area where you can all gather to tuck into a hearty breakfast and plan your activities for the day ahead. The contemporary kitchen has ample preparation and storage space, and is fully equipped with a range of integrated appliances.
Upstairs, there is one cosy twin bedroom and a double bedroom, both of these rooms have use of a family bathroom, where you can indulge in a relaxing soak. At the end of the landing area is a spacious kingsize bedroom with its own contemporary en-suite shower room.
Each of the bedrooms are furnished with a Smart TV, built-in wardrobes and bedside tables with lamps.
This first-rate home-away-from-home has a splendid outdoor patio space with a picnic bench and a parasol. It is a lovely spot in the evenings to enjoy the sun setting with a glass of your favourite tipple in hand.
South Barn is an absolute delight and there is also the option to book North Barn (ref BCNBARN), which is a luxurious four-bedroom property located on the other side of the courtyard area, together they can accommodate a total of 14 guests.
This beautiful holiday home benefits from lovely countryside walks close by on Dartmoor and Exmoor, and cyclists and walkers are well catered for in the area with the famous Tarka Trail within easy reach as well as The Granite Way. The Tarka Train Line is a great alternative to a day driving, catch this local line at Eggesford Junction and head up to the coast or to the cathedral city of Exeter.
Iddesleigh, Hatherleigh and Winkleigh are just a short drive away and offer shops and pubs.
The village of Iddesleigh, which is a 5-minute drive away, is known as War Horse Country as this is where Michael Morpurgo wrote the novel ’War Horse’. You will also be within easy reach of a riding stable, coarse fishing at Stafford Moor and War Horse Valley Farm Park, and slightly further afield are RHS Rosemoor Gardens, The Big Sheep and The Milky Way.
The stunning surfing beaches of the North Devon and North Cornwall coastline are an easy drive away for a day out, with sandy beaches and sheltered coves to explore including Bude, Saunton Sands, Croyde and Westward Ho!
