This delightful, detached holiday home is situated in the charming hamlet of Lansallos. It is located in an area designated as both Heritage Coastline and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and so has access to some stunning coastal walks. A 15-minute walk down a shady wooded track takes you to the idyllic beach at Lansallos Cove and to the coastal path. To the east is the pretty fishing village of Polperro and to the west is Polruan, which sits on the River Fowey, opposite the town of Fowey itself.
The fishing town of Looe is only a short drive away and provides a sandy beach, shops and restaurants. Rock pools or fishing for crabs on the quay will keep the children entertained, while the local fish market provides the perfect opportunity to get the catch of the day for that special meal.
The seafaring town of Fowey is reachable by ferry trip across the beautiful River Fowey. There is a foot passenger ferry from Polruan or a car ferry from Bodinnick. Fowey was once home to the famous author Daphne Du Maurier and is now the location of a royal sailing regatta. Fowey has an abundance of narrow streets lined with interesting shops, galleries and cafés, and provides an excellent day out for all the family.
Guests can take a charter boat out for the chance of spotting dolphins and seals.
A little further afield is the Eden Project, the bustling fishing town of Mevagissey and the Lost Gardens of Heligan, all worth a visit. The popular surfing beach of Polzeath on the north coast is just an hour away. The area is full of diverse attractions such as sailing, horse riding, kayaking, sea fishing and golf, or you could just relax at one of the spas in the area, or visit one of the many National Trust Houses and Gardens for which Cornwall is renowned. Beach 1 mile. Shop, pub and restaurant 2½ mile
