Old Orchard Cottage is a quaint semi-detached cottage situated just over a mile from the Eden Project by car, or you can walk through the pretty country lanes via the clay trails taking approximately 30 minutes. Located next door to the owner’s home, this delightful property has been decorated and furnished to a very good standard. All on one level, it has the added benefit of private parking. The private, enclosed courtyard garden is perfect to enjoy the summer sun. Old Orchard Cottage offers a good-sized kitchen and spacious living/dining room with French doors leading onto the courtyard garden and a comfortable double bedroom with en-suite facilities.
Local attractions include the Eden Project, co-founded by Sir Tim Smit. This incredible project is home to biomes with plant life from all over the world. The Eden Project is also host to several artists and performers throughout the year. You can also walk to Knightor Winery where you can enjoy wine tours and wine sampling or a delicious Sunday Roast. The beautiful clay walking trails are just on the doorstep. VisitTruro, the capital of Cornwall, with its Gothic cathedral, surrounded by narrow streets and alleyways lined with a selection of shops, cafés, restaurants and bars.
St Austell Bay, just minutes away, has a stunning coastline which has pretty coastal towns and villages dotted along its edge. Charlestown is home to a collection of tall sailing ships, a historic harbour and Georgian architecture, all of which have been used as film and TV sets over many years. Beach 3½ miles. Shop 1¾ miles, pub 2 miles, restaurant ½ mile.
