Pheasant is a two bedroom barn conversion is set in the heart of the Devonshire countryside and accommodates up to four guests. The open plan kitchen and living area on the ground floor is light and spacious, with a set of patio doors going out to the garden. The living area has a three-seater corner sofa, a two-seater sofa, 32" Smart TV and a dining table with four chairs. There is underfloor heating and oak manufactured flooring, providing a luxurious finishing touch to the property.
One of the bedrooms is on the ground floor and next door is the shower room. Upstairs is a spacious landing area with a two-seater sofa and a small table, the perfect spot for reading a good book. This then leads into the second bedroom which has a king size bed and en-suite bathroom.
Outside, guests will enjoy use of their own private patio area with a barbecue and a set of table and chairs. The lawned garden is shared with the holiday let next door, with views of the lovely nature pond and Kerridge Copse woods.
Situated in the beautiful wooded Exe Valley to the north of Tiverton, the small rural village of Washfield provides a quiet retreat for the discerning holidaymaker. There are plenty of footpaths, fly fishing in the glorious clear waters of the River Exe and natural wildlife in the area. There are several National Trust stately homes and gardens within easy reach, including Knightshayes Court, a striking gothic mansion with extensive grounds.
Tiverton, a large town just 4 miles away offers some interesting places in amongst the hustle and bustle of everyday life, including Tiverton Museum of Mid Devon Life, which is one of the largest social history museums in the south west. Washfield is located only 10 miles from the rolling wild green hills of Exmoor National Park, where you will find stags, streams and breathtaking scenery, along with the town of Dulverton and the village of Dunster.
Exeter and Taunton are a short 35-minute drive away offering shops, theatres and restaurants, or visit the beaches of North Devon and even the Jurassic Coast. This is a perfect base for touring rural inland Devon, often missed by tourists heading for the coas
