This tastefully furnished, restored cottage is set in an elevated position in Fortuneswell, near the causeway between Weymouth and Portland, which separates Chesil Beach and Portland Harbour. This comfortable end-of-terrace house is spread over three floors, and offers a small sitting-out area and parking space for one small car. The ground floor has an open plan living/dining room, a kitchen and shower room. A double bedroom is located on the first floor, along with an additional bedroom with bunk bed which leads through to a utility room and family bathroom. The second floor offers a spacious master bedroom.
Mallams is an ideal base to explore the excellent walks and stunning scenery around Portland, especially around Portland Bill with the grand Portland Bill Lighthouse, the Portland Bird Observatory and Portland Castle, built by Henry VIII in the 16th century.
The area is renowned for its water sports, with the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy located here. Enjoy a range of activities including birdwatching, fishing, boating, swimming, yachting, canoeing, diving and wind surfing at the nearby Weymouth Bay. Weymouth is a popular seaside resort with a vast expanse of sandy beach and a wide selection of shops, bistros, cafés and restaurants overlooking the sea and harbour. It offers seaside attractions for the whole family including the Jurassic Skyline, Nothe Fort and two nature reserves at Radipole and Lodmoor.
Discover the natural beauty of the famous World Heritage Jurassic Coast, the Isle of Purbeck and Lulworth Cove.
