Located just 50 yards from the spectacular 5 mile stretch of sandy beach, this one bedroomed holiday apartment is comfortable and well-equipped. Almost untouched by the hands of time, Filey is protected by the low lying ridge of rocks called Filey Brigg, from where the sands sweep to the south and end at the spectacular chalk cliffs of Bempton RSPB Bird Sanctuary. There is plenty to see and do in and around Filey, with easy access to the beautiful North Yorkshire Wolds with stunning views across the coastline. The North York Moors steam train takes an 18-mile trip through the glorious Esk Valley stopping at Goathland, famed for both the Harry Potter films and the television series Heartbeat.
Shopping trips to the city of Hull and the historic city of York, with its world famous minster, museums, art galleries, curio shops, inns and tea rooms is just over an hour’s drive. Coastal and countryside walks abound, with everything from energetic distance walks to leisurely trail and cycle ways through quiet villages and bustling towns. The Cleveland Way and the Wolds Way offer unrivalled long distance walks.
Steeped in history, there are many homes, halls and castles, with Burton Agnes Hall and Castle Howard easily reached. The coastal towns of Bridlington, Scarborough and the ancient sea port of Whitby, smugglers coves such as Robin Hoods Bay, Runswick Bay and Staithes are all within easy reach. The Yorkshire coast and countryside has so much to offer at any time of the year and visitors find themselves returning again and again. Beach 50 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 200 yard
