This charming one-bedroom cottage can be found located on a private lane, in an idyllic location between the villages of Kirkburton and Emley in West Yorkshire. Fully renovated throughout in 2023 it combines modern-day comforts with rustic charm.
On the ground floor, impressive stone flag flooring greets you as you walk through the door, and in quintessential cottage style, there’s a wood burning stove to cosy up in front of during the colder winter months. The highlight of the bedroom is a luxurious freestanding bath, providing a unique and relaxing experience after a long day exploring the great outdoors. The cottage offers excellent views of both the scenic landscape and the iconic Emley Moor Mast to the front.


Kirkburton village is just a mile down the road and home to a wealth of amenities including a range of shops, eateries, and pubs. There’s a 6th generation farm shop and café just 1½ miles away in Emley and some wonderful restaurants in and around the area. Nearby attractions include the National Mining Museum which is a mere 10 minutes drive and where you can take an underground tour. The Yorkshire Sculpture Park, an internationally renowned open-air museum with a vast collection of contemporary sculptures is just 15 minutes away and in 20 minutes, you can be at either Cannon Hall or The Hepworth Gallery. 30 minutestakes you to the Royal Armouries in Leeds or the grand stately home of Wentworth Castle.


Huddersfield itself is a 20 minute drive and where you can explore the splendid architecture of Huddersfield Town Hall or visit the Lawrence Batley Theatre for live performances, and nature lovers can head to the Peak District National Park, in just over half an hour for breathtaking hikes and scenic vistas. With Holmfirth, Barnsley and Wakefield all easily accessible also, you really are spoilt for choice!
