Situated in the heart of the pretty Yorkshire village of Pately Bridge, Nidd Cottage is the ideal base for couples, families and friends who want to capture the taste of country life. Nidd Cottage has a bright and spacious living room; the perfect space to socialise or simply curl up with a good book in front of the fire. Outside, the enclosed patio garden is a real suntrap, making it a great spot to unwind, after a busy day exploring, with a glass of wine.
Set in the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there is an abundance of scenic walks and cycle routes, all from your doorstep.
Pately Bridge is full of charm and character, with a bustling high street lined with independent shops. Venture into The Oldest Sweet Shop In The World for a magical trip down memory lane and if you don’t fancy cooking grab some tasty fish and chips, or treat yourself to a Michelin star meal at nearby Ramsgill (3 miles away). The Yorkshire Dales National Park is also nearby; its rolling hills stretch as far as the eye can see, offering fantastic rambling routes, an array of local country pubs and many charming villages to potter around.
Skipton, 20 miles, is a must visit with its medieval castle, cobbled streets and weekly markets. The historic spa town of Harrogate, 14 miles, and the ancient city of York, 30 miles, are both well worth a visit too. Visit Malham Tarn with its large glacial lake which is as fascinating as it is spectacular. There really is plenty to do all from your doorstep!
