Elizabeth Cottage is a gorgeous terraced cottage situated in the picture-postcard village of Hinderwell, on the Yorkshire Coast. This dog-friendly cottage makes an idyllic retreat for two people in which to relax and unwind and take in all that the area has to offer. The cosy accommodation has been attractively furnished to offer guests a comfortable stay. The quirky living room has exposed brickwork and an open fire set within the original cast iron fireplace, a great space to curl up after a day exploring the coastline. There is also a Smart TV and DVD player for your entertainment. There is a staircase of two small flights of six steps separated by a small landing. It is a little steep but has a handrail.
On the first floor the double bedroom has stripped wooden floors and a large window with seat. The comfortable bed, Hypnos mattress and crisp bedding ensures a good night’s sleep. The stylish bathroom with shower over bath completes this floor. Externally there is an enclosed, south-facing courtyard with a terraced patio and garden furniture. It has been described as a sun trap by many guests. A great place to enjoy a morning coffee or evening glass of wine as you watch the sun go down. The cottage is close to two village inns and there is a direct bus route to Whitby and surrounding bays, ideal for avoiding parking at busy times.
The bus runs regularly 7 days a week from morning until late evening. The beautiful beaches of Runswick Bay, Staithes and Sandsend are within easy reach. There are many amenities on hand including a butchers/grocery store, church, village hall and fish and chip shop. Hinderwell is an ideal base for walking holidays too with many coastal walking routes and the Cleveland Way close by. This is the perfect location for exploring further inland as well, with the whole of the North York Moors just waiting to be explored.
