This 1890s cottage is a home from home and is situated in a quaint village but is less than a mile away from the glorious Yorkshire coastline and the sandy beach of Runswick Bay.

Field House welcomes guests on a stay to remember; here you have all of your home comforts to return to after discovering the many delights which surround you. You are ideally positioned to visit the coast as well as to explore the vast Yorkshire countryside bursting with wildlife. At the front of the house you have a small garden, with a rear patio. Stepping inside you have an open plan living space, with a well-equipped kitchen and dining area, as well as the living area with a sofa and arm chairs. Upstairs you have two bedrooms so the property can accommodate up to four guests. The bathroom is also on the first floor and offers a shower over the bath so that you have the option of a lovely soak or a refreshing shower.
The village of Hinderwell has a couple of friendly local pubs, a small fish and chip shop, a local butchers’ and a petrol station. There is also a wonderful café in the old school house, which is really charming and has some fabulous home cooked delights.

For days out you will be spoilt for choice. You are less than a mile from the coast, with the nearest beach at Runswick Bay just a quick drive or a 20-minute walk away. It’s sweeping golden beach is picture prefect also the cobbled streets are interesting to explore.
Further north is the inspiring coastal village of Staithes as well as Saltburn. The latter is a surfers’ paradise with a Victorian pier and tram, as well as an enormous beach stretching to Marske and Redcar, which is home to the lemon top ice cream and has an array of ice cream parlours, places to eat and seafront entertainment. To the south you have Sandsend, where the waves dramatically crash over the sea wall at high tide, Whitby which is bursting with history, great restaurants and the famous tales of gothic connections and Whitby Abbey. Robin Hood’s Bay is a little further north where the tangle of cobbled streets cling to the cliff edge, with houses spilling right down to the water’s edge.

There are fabulous walking trails including the Cleveland Way which follows the cliff top to connect all of these fabulous coastal destinations.
Inland you have the raw natural beauty of the National Park, with ancient forests, rolling moorland and breath-taking scenery. Perhaps take the heritage steam train from Whitby on a trip through the Esk valley, there are some quaint villages to visit along the way. For those who love the water why not join a local surf schools in either Whitby or Saltburn, or row along the river Esk in the village of Ruswarp. For history lovers there is a selection of museums in Whitby as well as the nautical museum in Staithes and the mining museum in Skinningrove. Whitby Abbey and Guisborough Priory are both beautiful remnants of the past. There is lots to see and do in the area, making it a great destination for a holiday. Beach 1 mile.
