It is just a short stroll from the heart of this bustling fishing town with Whitby Abbey and the church of St Mary’s (the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s Dracula).

Whitby is situated on the Yorkshire Heritage coast - ideal for hikers and cyclists who can make the most of the nearby Cleveland Way and the National Cycling Network. Whitby itself hosts events all year round including a Goth Week, the Whitby Regatta and much more. There is always something going on in this beautiful, gothic town. The North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway departs from the town on a regular basis and snakes its way through ’Heartbeat’ country into the depths of the North York Moors National Park.

The medieval walled city of York is just an hour away boasting many attractions such as the National Railway Museum and the Jorvik Viking Centre.
