Lovingly renovated throughout by the owners, The Green is a beautiful stone-built cottage dating back to the early 1900’s and is perfectly situated on the outskirts of the medieval city of York. This property oozes charm and style, where guests can fully immerse themselves in comfort. The Green offers both friends and families a holiday retreat and acts as a fantastic base to explore this wonderful area.
The property boasts three good-sized bedrooms; the master bedroom is located on the first floor and offers en-suite facilities. All bedrooms have fresh cotton linen guaranteeing a perfect night’s sleep. Down to the first floor you have a very comfortable living area which presents a large Smart TV, a great place to snuggle up in with a glass of wine whilst watching your favourite movie. The Green has a gorgeous modernkitchen, which is fully equipped for all your culinary needs should you not wish to dine at the many superb eateries close.

In addition, the kitchen also has another sitting area making this area of the property a great place to socialise with friends and family. Doors lead from the kitchen to a delightful patio area with garden furniture, ideal to sit out and have a drink al fresco-style in the summer months or simply take in the morning air with a coffee.
With The Green located less than 2 miles outside of York and on a main bus route, you have quick access to one of the most visited cities outside of London, which is popular throughout the whole year with numerous festivals and magical Christmas markets. You have many attractions to visit including the iconic Minster, Railway Museum and Clifford’s Tower; admire the beautiful architecture at the Merchant Adventurers Hall, or step back in time at the Jorvik Centre and the Castle Museum.

Stroll along the cobbles down the world-famous Shambles or take one of the terrifying night-time ghost walks which are a must.
This vibrant city is bursting at the seams with delightful restaurants, traditional inns serving real ales, and a wide choice of teashops including the famous Betty’s Tea Rooms. It is also a shopper’s paradise with a wealth of independent shops, and in addition the Designer Outlet is located just 10 minutes’ from Acomb. York has something for everyone no matter what time of year; shop for hours, enjoy a day at the races, with York Racecourse only 2 miles from the cottage, dine out, enjoy the fantastic nightlife, or simply relax and walk the city walls and take everything in.
