A matter of metres across the garden is The Garage (games room), and once you step inside, you will gasp with delight. Home to an array of games such as a full-size pool table, Star Wars slot machine, retro arcade games table, air hockey and football table, complete with Jukebox, The Garage comes fully equipped with kitchenette and bar area fitted with drinks fridge, dishwasher, sink, instant hot-water tap and microwave.

Once inside The Lodge and The Garage, you will be hard pushed to leave, however the surroundings area holds a whole host of attractions. Across the road is Skipwith Common Nature Reserve which provides a variety of wilderness walks, and the historic city of York, home to York Minster, Jorvik Viking Centre, The Shambles, York Dungeons, wonderful shopping and, of course, York Racecourse is just a 20-minute drive. Also nearby is the McArthur Glen designer outlet, York Maize Maze and the iconic Selby Abbey, with the beautiful North Yorkshire coast accessible in around an hour.
