This semi-detached Swiss chalet-style privately owned villa occupies a corner position on the Cromer Country Club, a three-acre site with tiered landscaped gardens backed by woodland and the Cromer lighthouse. The property is perfect for families, nature lovers, and bird-watching enthusiasts.
Bittern Lodge boasts an inviting sociable open-plan accommodation. Upstairs, the master bedroom features a balcony, perfect for enjoying morning coffee or unwinding in the evening. There is a twin-bedded room and paddle steps lead up to a charming mezzanine with a vaulted ceiling and a single bed. The family bathroom is conveniently located on the first floor. The villa was newly furnished in 2025, including new high quality comfortable mattresses, dining chairs and sofa. All Cromer Country Club facilities, including the indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, steam room and gym, can of course be used by guests staying at Bittern Lodge at no further cost.

Guests also enjoy free access to a games room at the resort and the onsite restaurant/pub is open all year. The Country Club is built into the hillside with steps and slopes, so is less suitable for the persons with mobility impairments. The Royal Cromer Golf Club is next door.
The North Norfolk coast is one of the United Kingdom’s best locations for birdwatching, having a remarkable range of habitats, from heath land and woods to coastal grazing marsh, reed beds and open beaches. Bittern Lodge contains a wide collection of books on birds and a log to record sightings. Guests can enjoy the nearby RSPB and North Norfolk Wildlife Trust reserves at Strumpshaw Fen, Hickling Broad and Cley Marshes.
The charming seaside town of Cromer is less than 1 mile away and can be reached via a lovely cliff-top walk or the wide sandy beach at low tide, with a choice of steps or sloped paths leading down to the shore.

Cromer offers plenty for all ages, with its promenade, iconic pier and end-of-pier shows, numerous cafes and eateries, arcades, a cinema, pubs, take-away restaurants, and a wide range of independent and high street stores. Two excellent museums, an impressive historic church boasting the tallest tower in Norfolk which can be climbed at certain times of the year, a small children’s fairground and Amazona Zoo can be found nearby. There are plenty of benches to stop at and take in the views, enjoy an ice cream, fish and chips, or perhaps some famous Cromer crab.
Please note: There are steep stairs at the property leading to the mezzanine.
