They are comfortably furnished and tastefully decorated to a very good standard. This tranquil spot boasts footpath walks on the owners’ 280-acre arable farm, an undercover courtyard and an indoor heated swimming pool and hot tub. Ely, 6 miles, occupying the largest island in the Fens, has a history dating back to Hereward the Wake and later, Oliver Cromwell. Its superb 11th century cathedral is surrounded by monastic buildings, medieval gateways and narrow streets leading down to the marina and river walks. King’s Lynn and Cambridge are easily accessible. Shops, riverside inns and restaurants at Littleport, 3 miles.
