Deck chairs are available for hire and boat trips to visit the seals at Scroby Sands. Central beach hosts fireworks spectacular each Wednesday (weather permitting) during the summer season. The town centre has shopping mall and market square; a great place for seeking fresh fish, sea food and fruit, along with supermarkets and a train station close by.

The famous Norfolk Broads is just 11 miles away, a National Park with over 125 miles of waterways. There are daily river and boat trips and riverside eateries. The city of Norwich (21 miles) for excellent shopping two indoor malls, market square, cathedral, castle museum, theatre, cafés and restaurants.
