Woodbastwick is a small quiet picturesque village with the famous Woodforde’s Brewery and local pub in a walkable 500 yards distance. Salhouse Broad is a local attraction and day launches are available at Wroxham, 4 miles, for relaxing self drive trips around the broads and rivers. The Norfolk coast is some 16 miles away with long sandy beaches, seal colonies, piers at Great Yarmouth and Cromer, with attractions such as BeWilderwood, Bure Valley Railway, the Golden Mile and Pleasurewood Hills within easy driving distance. Norfolk has many National Trust properties to visit and the city of Norwich, with two cathedrals, a castle, good shopping and a host of things to see is 7 miles away with access by railway from Salhouse station. For birders and cyclists Woodbastwick offers lovely wooded countryside and Hilley Holey has a peaceful terrace with wonderful views to ponder the day’s activities over a glass of something special.
