Kittiwake is hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the popular seaside town of Sheringham, yet within footsteps of the excellent sandy beach and bustling town centre. With so much to do and see, you will want to return again and again.
Why not spend a day exploring Sheringham Park National Trust, which is a delight during the spring and summer months? Splash waterpark and slides is great fun for all the family, or you can enjoy a day trip on the North Norfolk Steam Railway, visiting Weybourne and the Georgian market town of Holt. Sheringham is host to many events and food festivals throughout the year and foodies will love the freshness and mixture of the Farmers Markets.
Popular local events include Carnival week held during early August, when you can enjoy all the fun of the fair, and the 1940’s celebration weekend held in mid September.
For the bravest amongst us, is the New Year’s Day sea swim, when you can participate in a bracing swim or paddle, to celebrate the brand new year. Felbrigg and Blickling National Trust stately houses and gardens are open all year round, whilst Muckleburgh Military and Tank collection has a great selection of vehicles, tanks and guns.
Pack up your buckets and spades and head to the seaside resorts of Cromer, Great Yarmouth and Hunstanton, which are all within easy driving distance.
Wroxham, known as capital of the Norfolk Broads, is where you can enjoy riverside restaurants, cafés and shops and with daily boat hire and river trips available to explore the expanse of waterways.
Salt marshes and RSPB nature reserves can be found further along the coast road. Norwich city centre, 27 miles away, has a cathedral, castle museum, theatre, two indoor shopping malls, market square and plenty of cafés, restaurants and pubs to enjoy. Beach 30 yards. Shop 80 yards, pub and restaurant 20 yard
