Extra Amenities
The Boathouse has been built to a nautical theme and has been equipped to the highest standard, offering excellent holiday accommodation. The properties (Refs CVK, CVL, CVM) are within a working boatyard on the banks of the River Bure, enjoying river views, and each property has the added benefit of a motor launch free of charge (except for the Friday 28th May - Sunday 6th June, and Friday 23rd July - Sunday 5th September inclusive, for these dates a 10% discount is offered). Each has a ground floor compact decked area and first floor glass balcony, providing lovely scenery over the water with all its activity.
Designed in ‘upside down’ style, the open-plan living area on the first floor has patio doors leading to the furnished balcony - perfect for relaxing and soaking up the atmosphere. The properties are situated in Wroxham, which is well known as the ‘Capital of the Broads’ and has a selection of cafes, restaurants and shops. One of the best ways to enjoy the Broads is on the water by motor launch or take one of the organised day trips arranged by the neighbouring boatyard. On the water, the beauty of the Broads can be truly experienced with its extensive wildlife (ducks, geese, swans, spoonbills and herons) and its sleepy Broads villages with their pretty flint cottages and attractive churches.
The coast is within easy reach with lovely sandy beaches and a string of villages spreading northwards to the bustling sea towns of Cromer and Sheringham. Alternatively, Norwich is 8 miles away with cathedral, museums, theatre, shops and restaurants. National Trust properties well worth a visit are Felbrigg Hall and Blickling Hall. Shop 500 yards. These properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 16 guest
