The Brewhouse is a marvellous first floor apartment situated within a private mansion house and offering a wonderful couples retreat.

All on the first floor.
Living/dining room: With electric fire, 42" Freeview TV and double sofa bed (for flexible sleeping arrangements).
Kitchen: With breakfast area, electric oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tiled floor.
Bedroom: With kingsize bed and en-suite with shower cubicle and toilet (also accessed from living room).

LPG central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. 2000-acre grounds (shared with the public). Public car park, 50 yards away (free). Bike store. No smoking.

Set with the grounds of Staunton Harold Hall, a privately owned Georgian Mansion, is this very spacious and comfortable apartment, perfect for a couple looking to get away from it all and visit the local attractions the area has to offer. The estate stretches over 2000 acres and includes a mix of farmland, woodland, lakes and a beautiful 17th-century church. You are welcome to wander and explore the grounds during your stay whilst spotting the local wildlife.
The Hall is now home to a multi generational family and is also used for conferences, events and weddings. Within the grounds and a short stroll from The Brewhouse is the converted stable block, now home to the Ferrers Centre for arts and crafts. Here you can discover local artisans including upholstery, metal work, deli and artisan bakery, gallery, framers, blacksmiths, ceramics plus a fantastic tea rooms and a beauty and holistic retreat to name but a few.


Within the hamlet of Staunton Harold is a garden centre and a choice of country pubs where you can enjoy some great local fayre. The neighbouring National Trust Calke Abbey is a must see, depicting the tale of the dramatic decline of a country house estate. There are many other historic houses and buildings to see in the wider area including National Trusts Stoneywell, Kedleston Hall, Sudbury Hall and Duffield Castle and Chatsworth House, Whatton House and Gardens and Melbourne Hall. In the north west of Leicestershire and in the National Forest, close to the border of Derbyshire there are many places of interest including Ashby-de-la-Zouch, famous for its ruined 15th-century castle, Alton Towers for thrill seekers, Hicks Lodge, a great place to walk, cycle and spot some unique wildlife, or enjoy a swim at the outdoor lido swimming pool at Hood Park.

Donington Park race circuit is just over 5 miles away and stages some great racing events, driving experiences and track days. The Peak District National Park is approximately 30 miles away where you can enjoy the great outdoors and plenty of outdoor activities. Other local towns close by include Loughborough, Coalville, Leicester, Derby and Burton on Trent. Shop and restaurant 100 yards, pub 1 mile.
