Wild Flower Cottage is a compact and cosy, traditional, terraced miner’s cottage with wonderful features adding to its charm, such as exposed stone walls and a beamed ceiling. Perfect for both summer and winter months, the property benefits from a decked terrace area to the rear, where you can enjoy a nice glass of wine and watch the sunset. There is a wood burner in the living room for those cooler evenings. The cottage is located in the traditional and friendly village of Youlgreave, within the heart of the Peak District National Park, and with uninterrupted countryside views from the front of the cottage.
The area is a popular base for walkers and cyclists and within the village there is a variety of traditional pubs and a couple of shops. Uniquely, Youlgreave is the only village in Britain to produce and manage its own water supply. Bradford Dale, the source of the water is just a 5-minute walk from the cottage and is home to a natural swimming pool for the brave.
The ever-popular market town of Bakewell, home to the magnificent Chatsworth House and Gardens, is a leisurely 15-minute drive, as is Haddon Hall.
