A short stroll from the beautiful River Dove and Dove Valley, a rural setting with stunning views down the valley to Hartington, the ideal place to escape the bustle of life. Great for couples, families or larger groups who book with the other cottage at the Grange. Offering light, airy, open plan first floor living with three good sized bedrooms, one with en-suite, spa bathroom, free Wi-Fi and a patio courtyard with grassed wooded area leading to the meadows. The cottage is part of Wolfscote Grange with its beautiful farmland, nature reserve and farm trail.
Children can enjoy feeding the chickens and the lambs in the spring, as can the grown ups! The farm trail has a wealth of nature, tiny owls, buzzards, hares, dramatic scenery and acres of land with walking access. Hartington village has excellent pubs and cafes where lovely cream teas can be purchased and enjoyed. The Tissington Trail is four miles away with cycle hire. Carsington Water for sailing and watersports is within easy reach. Chatsworth, the medieval Haddon Hall or in contrast Alton Towers fun park and spa can all be visited whilst staying at Red Lion House.
Buxton renowned for its Opera House and Pavilion Gardens is a short drive away. You are also at the gateway to the dales, and the Peak District National Park, the perfect place to enjoy long walks, leisurely bike rides or horse riding in the quiet Derbyshire countryside. This property can be booked together with Tom Boys Cottage (412051), Cruck Cottage (412052) and Wolfscote Cottage (412054) to accommodate up to 20 guests.
