The interior is a work of love and provides a real home from home. Carsington Lake, 2 miles, offers RYA sailing, canoeing, wind surfing and fishing, and there are extensive cycle paths around the lake and on the High Peak Trail nearby. Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Ashbourne, Bakewell and Buxton are all within half an hour’s drive, while Alton Towers is just 15 miles. Pony trekking, 5 miles. Wirksworth, 3 miles, has a full range of shops.
