Extra Amenities

This beautifully presented 18th century, semi-detached cottage lies just a mile from the heart of Buxton, located on a quiet private lane next to the friendly owners’ home. Boasting an abundance of character and charm, you’ll find exposed timber beams, low doorways and steps between rooms, together with solid oak flooring, a roaring cast iron multi-fuel stove and farmhouse style kitchen, complete with granite work surface. The stunning family bathroom hosts a free-standing bath and separate shower cubicle, and in the cleverly hidden en-suite you’ll find a steam shower, complete with seat and massage jets. Outside in the spacious and beautifully maintained south-facing garden sits a hot tub, perfect for relaxing in after a long day in the great outdoors.

You can also hire electric bikes from the owners who have a wealth of knowledge to help you with your visit.
Buxton is a thermal spa town, and one of the most popular tourist destinations within the Peak District. It’s well-known for both its Georgian and Victorian architecture together with its famous bottled water. You’ll find stunning ornamental gardens, a growing number of independent shops, cafés, bars and restaurants, plus a year-round programme of fairs, markets and festivals. You can take a guided tour of the town on the quirky and unique ‘Wonder of the Peak’ Tram, and visit parks and woodlands, including Buxton Country Park which leads up to Solomons Temple and the most magnificent far reaching views of the area.

Bakewell, Castleton, Eyam, and Edale are all within a half hour drive, as is the magnificent Chatsworth House.
