Extra Amenities

This wonderful detached farmhouse with a country house theme throughout, is surrounded by beautiful scenery, and is accessed by a 1 mile farm track. It is a haven for wildlife with a variety of birds to watch including kestrels. Children will be able to see how Grandma used to live with a wood burner to the kitchen/dining area, but it also enjoys the mod cons, including a flat screen TV to watch in the evening. The ground floor benefits from a typically quaint country kitchen and dining area, as well as a cloakroom and two comfortable living areas in both wings of the house.

On the first floor the property has two bedrooms both with en-suite shower rooms boasting underfloor heating.

To the rear of the property, accessed from the kitchen stairs, are two further bedrooms, family bathroom and another bedroom which can be accessed from either the front or rear stairs of the property. An original ’secret’ staircase provides access to the second floor where everyone can enjoy the attic games room. The Farmhouse has a private garden with garden furniture and barbecue to while away those beautiful summer days, and there is a fishing pond just 2 minutes away across a field.

The Farmhouse enjoys a rural setting with excellent views across the beautiful countryside, and nature lovers will appreciate the beauty of these idyllic surroundings.

The attractions of the Peak District are within an easy drive, with Derby just 4 miles away, Ashbourne, 9 miles, and a golf driving range, 3 miles. Within easy driving distance are Chatsworth House, with its collection of art treasures, as well as beautiful gardens, and Haddon Hall, England’s most complete and authentic medieval house dating back to the 14th century. Carsington Water offers nature trails, a wildlife sanctuary, riding, water sports, cycle hire and a restaurant. Dovedale and Alton Towers are both within easy reach.
