Locally, activities and attractions abound, including many superb walks from the doorstep, facilities for golf, fishing and horse riding. A little further afield are Castleton Blue John Caverns, Peveril Castle, Bakewell, Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Eyam Hall and Matlock Bath.
