These pretty detached cottages (Ref: B6857 and Ref: HD37, 10 yards apart) retain many original features and stand in the oldest part of Hathersage, as described by Charlotte Bronte in the novel ’Jane Eyre’, and have lovely views over gently undulating hills and fields. Locally, activities and attractions abound, including many superb walks from the doorstep, facilities for golf, fishing and horse riding. A little further afield are Castleton Blue John Caverns, Peveril Castle, Bakewell, Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Eyam Hall and Matlock Bath.
