Ashover Cottage2 bedrooms, Sleeps 4.

Characterful Derbyshire cottage near Ashover with an AGA kitchen, a cosy log-burner lounge, countryside views and easy access to Peak District walks, plus a football table for rainy-day fun.

No smoking. This property has a £150 security deposit.

With open countryside all around and the village of Ashover close by, this characterful cottage is a peaceful base for exploring Derbyshire and the Peak District. It is well suited to couples, friends or families who want a rural setting without feeling cut off, with scenic walks on the doorstep and popular market towns a short drive away. After a day in the hills, it is easy to return for a warm welcome and a slower pace.
The cottage blends traditional charm with thoughtful comforts. The kitchen is centred around an AGA, giving the room a cosy heart for cooking and lingering over meals at the dining table.

In the sitting room, a log burner creates a snug atmosphere on cooler evenings, with a TV for downtime after a day outdoors. For a bit of fun, there is a football table, and a telescope is provided for taking in the wide views across the surrounding countryside. A downstairs cloakroom adds convenience during busy mornings.
Upstairs, two bedrooms provide flexible sleeping arrangements, and one room offers a large bed that can be arranged as a super-king or separated into two singles if you request it ahead of time.

A modern family bathroom includes both a bath and a shower. The stairs are steep, so the layout may not suit everyone, but for most guests it will simply add to the cottage’s sense of character. From here you can enjoy local village walks and a good choice of country pubs, or set off for places such as Matlock, Bakewell and Chesterfield for days out, shops and attractions. Come back, light the fire and unwind in comfort.
1 Double bed, 1 King size bed.
