Outside you will find a seating area and lawned gardens, the perfect spot for unwinding after a long day exploring and enjoying al-fresco dining within the pretty surroundings. This popular Brackenfield village is nestled on the edge of the Peak District, next to the market town of Matlock, the perfect base to enjoy tranquillity and explore. Nearby Bakewell, Chatsworth, and Matlock Bath are easily accessible by car. There are lovely country walks from the farmhouse itself and a wonderful pub within a ten-minute walk.

Matlock has a large variety of shops, supermarkets, a launderette, cafes, restaurants, pubs, an indoor swimming pool, a weekly market, and parks. Nearby Matlock Bath is a well-known resort on the river with fish and chips, cable cars, and numerous entertainments. Enjoy a thrilling day at Gulliver’s Kingdom with its owl maze, water gardens, nature trails, exhilarating rides, and cable car trips over the magnificent Matlock Gorge. The nearby High Peak Cycle Trail provides a wonderful experience, whilst the market town of Bakewell, Chatsworth House, and Park and Haddon Hall are within easy reach.
