Extra Amenities

Waterfall Cottage is a renovated barn conversion just a stone’s throw from the stunning Lumsdale Waterfall in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with historic mill ruins and ponds dating back to the Industrial Age. Situated within the owner’s extensive 16-acre grounds looking out on to open fields, this charming cottage offers light and airy accommodation all on one level. This stunning property has an open plan layout with the living room having oak beams and a wood burner. The large patio doors open out on to a secluded patio with garden furniture and a BBQ. Stone steps lead from the patio to a private grass area for further relaxation.

There are two bedrooms: one with a kingsize bed, and the other with twin beds. The shower room has a large walk-in shower.
Outside, visitors can also enjoy a spacious open area with garden ponds and a stream. These grounds, which are shared with the neighbouring holiday cottage, are very large and provide the ideal place where you can fly kites, play ball games or just to relax on a quiet evening watching the sun set whilst enjoying a spot of alfresco dining.
Here at Waterfall Cottage you have the best of both worlds: wonderful walks in the surrounding open Derbyshire countryside, and for days out, you are within close proximity to all the major tourist attractions the Derbyshire Dales have to offer.

Certainly an idyllic rural retreat, yet the historic spa town of Matlock is only a mile away with its award-winning park where band concerts can be enjoyed on a Sunday summer afternoon, and where an annual Christmas Victorian Market is held in December. Matlock Bath, named the little Switzerland of England, is just a couple of miles away and the famous illuminations are held here each year in September. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
Waterfall Cottage can be booked together with Water Bailiffs Lodge (CC418024) to accommodate up to 12 guests
