Set in the heart of this quintessentially historic market town of Wallingford, home of Agatha Christie, is this ground floor, self-contained apartment, perfect for couples and single travellers looking to spend time in this beautiful part of Oxfordshire.
The spacious accommodation leads to a shared courtyard garden and is close to all the towns amenities including shops, restaurants, pubs and cafés.
The River Thames runs through the town and offers beautiful riverside walks and only approximately 100 metres from the property.
You can wander the cobbled streets and explore more of the history and heritage of this Saxon fortified town, visit the market square where markets are heldfour times a week and walk through the crumbling castle ruins.

During the summer months you can enjoy a dip in the riverside open-air swimming pool or take a boat trip on the river. It is also a well-used filming location for Midsomer Murders. Wallingford is located on the edge of the Oxfordshire Oxfordshire Chilterns, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which is perfect for exploring by foot or bike, and treats you to magnificent views of the Thames Valley and South Oxfordshire. Take a visit to Watlington Hill, a National Trust chalk grassland site which is a fantastic area to spot red kites and butterflies including the silver-spotted skipper. Other places of interest nearby include the picturesque town of Henley-on-Thames, known most for its Royal Regatta held in the first week of July, and Reading which is one of the country’s most up and coming towns.

The town boasts the Oracle and a spectacular shopping centre sited alongside the River Kennet with numerous riverside places to eat.
The historic university city of Oxford is within 15 miles, Dorchester, a pretty village with an abbey, Thame, a typical English market town are also within easy reach. There is plenty more to do and see in the area including Greys Court (National Trust), Nuffield Place, Basildon Park, Harcourt Arboretum, the Earth Trust Centre, the Aston Martin Heritage Trust Museum and Wittenham Clumps, for stunning panoramic views of south Oxfordshire.
