Six Litton Mill is an wonderful apartment located in a historic water mill, right in the heart of the Peak District National Park. Situated on the bank of the River Wye, Litton Mill provides access to The Monsal Trail, which is a traffic free route through some of the Peak District’s most spectacular limestone dales. The apartments elevated position over the river provides a dramatic view of the old ironmongery and water as it rushes towards, around and under the mill. The gentle, relaxing sound of the river enhances your stay.

The attractive village of Litton Mill is located on the River Wye close to the heart of the Peak District, where in recent years, the former 19th-century textile mill has been converted into apartments. The nearby village of Litton features a green complete with ancient wooden stocks, a community shop, and the 17th century pub serving home-cooked food. The area boasts spectacular views of the twin viaducts that once carried powerful steam locomotives from London to Manchester as part of the Midlands Line. The old line now forms an 8½ mile walking/cycling trail that meanders along the hills above the River Wye. The four railway tunnels along the route, Headstone Tunnel, Cressbrook Tunnel, Litton Tunnel, Chee Tor Tunnel are open for trail users.
Nearby Tideswell stands in the heart of the Peak District National Park. Famous for its fine church dedicated to St John the Baptist, known as ’the Cathedral of the Peak’, Tideswell is also noted for its well dressing and carnival wakes, and has many fine country inns, a chemist, bakers and much more. There is excellent walking with rugged peaks to the north, gentle hills and dales to the south and Miller?s Dale nearby.
