The property has a cosy wood burner for cosying up in front of on those cooler evenings and has ample space for up to six guests. The separate dining room sits to the rear of the property overlooking the sitting-out area and is a fabulous social space for a real family gathering or celebration! The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of facilities should you wish to dine in.

When you’re ready to begin exploring this historic town, begin with a trip to the majestic and famous Alnwick Castle, only a few minutes’ walk, one of the largest inhabited castles in the UK and used for some scenes when filming the ‘Harry Potter’ films, so it’s a must-visit for any fans. Alnwick Garden is also an exciting visit with its spectacular interpretation of a formal garden, including the Grand Cascade waterfall, poison garden and largest tree house in Europe, where guests can dine in the restaurant. Alnwick has its own playhouse so check ahead and book a show. There are numerous places spaced out all over this friendly town to eat in and have a drink.
Heading 4 miles east is the picture-perfect coastal village of Alnmouth where there is a gorgeous golden sandy beach and coloured houses along the estuary.

A short drive west brings you to the small town of Rothbury, found nestled at the foot of the Simonside Hills and where the River Coquet ebbs and flows. A 20-minute drive north brings you to the pretty fishing village of Seahouses, explore a great selection of shops, inns, pubs and fish and chip shops, plenty here to keep you entertained.
Embark on a water adventure and take a boat trip out to the Farne Islands where you can visit a bird sanctuary and spot seals and puffins for a truly memorable experience or walk down the promenade to nearby Bamburgh with its imposing castle, RNLI Grace Darling Museum and golf club.
