Puffins is a beautiful detached house, nestled behind the sand dunes of Beadnell Bay. This stunning property sits within a development of similar clapboard-style properties, known as Beadnell Point. The property is well presented throughout, with full height glass windows in the open plan living space, enhancing its bright and airy ambience, along with the friendly comfort of the wood burner. All three bedrooms, one of which is en-suite, are beautifully furnished with much care, thought and attention to detail. The fresh bathroom has the added convenience of a separate shower cubicle too. A south and west facing decked area is perfect for dining al fresco and embracing the sea air. There is an external store suitable for bikes/surfing equipment and an external tap for hosing off sand and salt. The development, Beadnell Point, has two tennis courts available for guests to use on a first come, first serve basis.
Beadnell is a popular holiday destination and offers local facilities including a village shop and family friendly pubs serving good food. The wide expanse of golden sandy beach which Beadnell Bay is renowned for, is within a gentle stroll of the house. The area is a popular destination for walkers, birdwatchers and water sports enthusiasts with activities including sailing, sea kayaking, wind surfing and scuba diving. Beadnell Bay can truly be described as the jewel in Northumberland’s seaside crown.
Just 2 miles along the coastline is the traditional fishing port of Seahouses, where boat trips to the nearby Farne Islands, famous for its bird sanctuaries and seal colony, depart regularly from its harbour.
Here you will find fish and chip shops, several charming tea rooms, quaint pubs, shops, fishing and golf. A further 3 miles up the coastline is the picturesque village of Bamburgh, with its beach and sand dunes in the shadow of its majestic castle. Further down the coastline is the fishing village of Craster, famous for its kippers, and just a short walk along the coastal path from the ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle. A few miles inland is the bustling market town of Alnwick, with its own dramatic castle and a film location for Harry Potter. Visitors will enjoy a trip to Alnwick Garden, a spectacular garden including the grand waterfall, and where you can also dine within Europe’s largest tree house! Beach 200 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 800 yard
