In pretty Aycliffe Village, with convenient access to the A1 motorway and road networks, The Graph’s Gaff offers spacious accommodation for up to six guests. It has a separate living room with Smart TV and comfortable sofas to relax and unwind on, a dining room to seat up to six and a well-equipped kitchen. Upstairs are three spacious bedrooms; the master room has a kingsize bed and en-suite shower room, and there are two twin bedrooms and a family bathroom.
Within a short stroll is the attractive village green, whilst a little further and you reach the River Skerne and some lovely country walks. Ideally located, you don’t have to walk far for food and drink. Just next door is the village pub where a warm welcome awaits and offers a variety of entertainment throughout the week.
On the village green there is a hotel which serves a high standard of food, enjoy a hearty breakfast or excellent evening meal, ideal for a special occasion. Locally there are many activities to enjoy and places of interest to visit. Keen golfers are catered for with the two golf courses nearby at Woodham and the popular Hall Garth Golf & Country Club Hotel.
Nearby is Darlington town centre, with a good assortment of shops, restaurants, and bars. Darlington railway station connects you in 30 minutes to York, Durham, and Newcastle. Visit Darlington Railway Museum, housing the world’s first passenger locomotive (1825). Other places to visit includeShildon Railway Museum, Beamish and Bowes’ Museum in the quaint town of Barnard Castle.
The cathedral city of Durham is under a 30-minute drive, with its castle and riverside walks, and excellent assortment of restaurants, coffee shops and bars.
High Force, one of the most spectacular waterfalls in England, is close by in Teesdale in the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Yorkshire Dales market town of Richmond extends to the Yorkshire Dales National Park with beautiful walks and picture postcard villages. Alternatively, you can head to the coast, north to the Northumberland Coast and beautiful beaches, the Durham Heritage coast at Seaham and Whitburn, or south to Redcar and Whitby. Beach 15 mile
