It has a separate living room with Smart TV and comfortable sofas to relax and unwind on, a dining room to seat up to six and a well-equipped kitchen. Upstairs are three spacious bedrooms; the master room has a kingsize bed and en-suite shower room, and there are two twin bedrooms and a family bathroom.
Within a short stroll is the attractive village green, whilst a little further and you reach the River Skerne and some lovely country walks. Ideally located, you don’t have to walk far for food and drink. Just next door is the village pub where a warm welcome awaits and offers a variety of entertainment throughout the week.

On the village green there is a hotel which serves a high standard of food, enjoy a hearty breakfast or excellent evening meal, ideal for a special occasion. Locally there are many activities to enjoy and places of interest to visit. Keen golfers are catered for with the two golf courses nearby at Woodham and the popular Hall Garth Golf & Country Club Hotel.
Nearby is Darlington town centre, with a good assortment of shops, restaurants, and bars. Darlington railway station connects you in 30 minutes to York, Durham, and Newcastle. Visit Darlington Railway Museum, housing the world’s first passenger locomotive (1825).
