Cresswell has a beautiful beach and ice cream shop with stunning views up the coast to Coquet Island.
This property is ideally located to easily reach all the top tourist attractions throughout this friendly diverse county. Within a mile is a good pub serving food and the local shop is 100 yards; the village also has takeaways and taxis.
Two miles away is the friendly village and sandy beach in Newbiggin-by-the-Sea, a popular little seaside village with a choice of cafés and pubs and a wonderful flat promenade to stroll along. Only 8 miles away is Morpeth, a pretty market town with some excellent shops and restaurants, popular on a weekend with locals.
It is easy to explore from this ideal holiday base with Amble only 10 miles away, where you can visit the popular Sunday market and shopping pods. Alnwick is only ½ an hour’s drive with its majestic castle featured in someHarry Potter and Downton Abbey scenes.
Over to the west, discover Hadrian’s Wall, or maybe have a day trip into the Northumberland National Park with its miles of forest around the huge reservoir. The local buses or a train from Morpeth will take you to Newcastle upon Tyne to explore the famous quayside, the fine architecture or visit the theatre, of course you are spoilt for choice with places to eat and drink, make a day of it and stop off to see the landmark Tyne Bridge.
